Reiffers Art Initiatives - "Soukhos" Exhibition
Reiffers Art Initiatives has organized at the Acacias Art Center the exhibition "Soukhos" by Raphaël Barontini, to present his work for the LVMH Métiers d'Art residency.
Raphaël Barontini’s SOUKHOS exhibition, the culmination of his LVMH Métiers d'Art artistic residency, was organized in partnership with Reiffers Art Initiatives and with the support of the Mariane Ibrahim Gallery.
Raphaël Barontini is a 36-year-old visual artist who graduated from the Beaux-Arts in Paris and Hunter College of Art in New York. His works "creolizing images" have already been exhibited by many museums and galleries around the world, notably through well received showings in the United States ౼ from Savannah to Fort Worth and most recently in Chicago.
In his multifaceted work, the visual artist constantly questions the relationship between art and craft, East and West, and politics.
In 2020, he was selected by LVMH Métiers d'Art for an artist residency in Singapore’s Heng Long tannery, renowned for its exceptional expertise and know-how in tanning and finishing crocodile leather. The entirety of his pieces created during his residency as well as several pieces that represent his overall work were showcased at Acacias Art Center in July 2021.

Reiffers Art Initiatives - "Mark Handforth" Exhibition
Mark Handforth inaugurates the Acacias Art Center with new works specially designed for its new spaces.
From his studio in Miami, the heir of the Pop Art generation has worked on one of his signature twists on everyday objects and urban furniture.
Created in collaboration with curator Timothée Chaillou and in partnership with the New York gallery Gavin Brown, the exhibition proposes to explore the theme of light in the artist's work. Bridging Pop Art and Minimalism, the British artist occupies the space with monumental and luminous works that playfully divert everyday objects. Often interwoven with phosphorescent lights, his sculptures intersect with the lights of Paris rooftops visible under the glass roof of the Acacias Art Center.
